The Datalogic Magellan 8100 Omega is specifically designed for high volume retail checkout applications. It is a high performance scanner and scanner-scale with the new OmegaTek Productivity Technology. The Magellan 8100 Omega has a powered auxiliary RS232 port for integrating a Datalogic handheld scanner for those large or heavy items that are often left in the shopping cart. It also supports industry standard host terminal interfaces. The Magellan 8100 Omega has a low energy consumption, with up to 77% lower energy costs than the competition while reducing AC outlets in the checkstand.
