PortServer II from Digi features 16 individual EIA-232 serial ports, expandable to 64 serial ports by attaching PORTS modules, which can be configured for asynchronous or synchronous WAN transmissions with 56Kbps. It also features LAN-to-LAN routing, ideal for distributed workgroups or retail point-of-sale applications. Other notable characteristics include Digi Port Authority-Remote for monitoring, support for Rlogin, Telnet and Reverse Telnet on each port, support for SNMP MIB-II and RealPort drivers for Windows and UNIX to provide local COM port and TTY functionality.
