Panasonic 8485 Series is a multimode transceiver compatible with NTSC, RS-170A & RS-343A and PAL with full color transmission/reception and real time video transmission/reception which is either wall or rack mountable.
The 8485 Series, designed for Panasonic Security System products, is capable of transmitting four channels of high-quality video with switch selectable bi-directional RS-485 data or bi-directional RS422 and RS-232 on a single multimode optical fiber. The circuit design includes a switch selectable 2 or 4 wire configuration and the ability to select data line termination. Additionally, two sub-carriers can be added to each video channel using the 500 Series modulators and demodulators. The system requires no field adjustments at installation or additional maintenance and is designed to be completely transparent. A quick visual indication of system status is also provided by diagnostic indicators. Equipment may be mounted as satndalone modules or rack units by the position of the mounting brackets
