The loudspeaker is assembled in a wall baffle for surface mounting and angled for additional downward sound dispersion. It is enclosed in a simulated walnut finished wooden enclosure with a black grille cloth front. It is designed for use in 25V amplifier systems.

The Bogen VAR1 Voice-Activated Relay features a Double Pole Double Throe (DPDT) audio signal activated relay device. The activating device can be a microphone pre-amp or any 70V, 25V, or 600-ohm line level inputs. The audio output is an isolated 600-ohm transformer. The VOX detect circuit also includes volume, sensitivity, and delay controls. Its applications include muting a sound system in response to a microphone or telephone page, activation of accessory security equipment or activation of a zone paging module. It sensitivity can be adjusted according to the needs of the application and operates from a DC power source.
