Honeywell’s EasyDLTM software plug-in simplifies the extraction of bar code data from government-issued IDs for uses such as age verification and automatic electronic form completion. Built on Honeywell’s TotalFreedom® open-system architecture, EasyDL removes the requirement for host system software to process the data encoded in 1D and 2D bar codes on IDs like military credentials, driver’s licenses, and permits. The EasyDL plug-in can be pre-loaded on selected Honeywell imaging devices or procured as an independent upgrade. Upon installation, users can configure a straightforward programming sequence to transmit up to 24 data fields in a custom order. Available delimiters can be chosen from six options to separate the fields.
