Introducing WhereLAN III, the core messaging hub of Zebra’s Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS), adhering to the ISO/IEC 24730-2 standard. This advanced sensor intercepts low-power emissions from Zebra’s active RFID tags, named WhereTags, up to a range of 1,750 meters. With sophisticated signal processing capabilities, WhereLAN III measures the time-of-arrival of a WhereTag signal within a sub-nanosecond, achieving an impressive accuracy of up to one meter. This allows for precise tracking and integration of asset locations into your business operations. Additionally, WhereLAN III can interpret event messages from WhereCall button tags used in industrial settings to communicate when parts need replenishment or tasks are completed. The dependable Six-Sigma reliability of the WhereTag signal ensures accurate detection of WhereCall events. All data from WhereTag and WhereCall is relayed to Zebra’s Visibility Server Software (VSS), which determines asset locations and delivers timely, actionable visibility. The server software also offers integration tools to link RTLS data with other customer or third-party systems. Combining VSS with multiple WhereLAN III units provides consistent and accurate asset tracking within your enterprise.WhereLAN III is built with an IP 55 cast-aluminum enclosure suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including warehouses, manufacturing plants, vehicle yards, and maritime zones. Using state-of-the-art signal processing mechanisms, the product avoids the need for specific time synchronization cabling, offering full locate capabilities. WhereLAN III automatically configures itself to changing Radio Frequency conditions while keeping wireless time synchronization, which removes the need for complex RF surveys and periodic calibrations. This ease of configuration allows you to focus on business operations rather than RTLS network maintenance.Supporting IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), WhereLAN III can also come with optional Wi-Fi client features supporting data transmission via any standard 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi network.
